I was born on November 3rd, 1991 in Western Australia, and I grew up in South Fremantle – a little beach town just south of Perth. My childhood was extremely idyllic; days were mostly spent at the beach, doing ballet and being surrounded by music (my dad plays flamenco guitar and my mother the piano.) At the age of 14 I decided to take up the oboe on a whim, and fell in love with it. After six months of playing I was performing with the local universities octet, and toured Europe with my high school orchestra.

Also at 14 I was scouted to model by my first agency Vivien’s. We had to wait a year or so for me to outgrow my terrible haircut, braces and general awkwardness – but it was worth it. My first job was Harpers Bazaar Australia with Nicole Bentley (the woman who taught me how to model) and before I knew it I was juggling high school and modelling work.

Once I graduated high school I was accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of music and WAAPA , however I decided to move to NYC to pursue modeling fulltime – I had been signed to an international agency since I was 16 years old, and they were waiting for me.  From there my career took off, and I have been based in NYC ever since.

Growing up I had a tendency to avoid eating meat, for no other reason than a general unease about eating animals. One day in 2009, I watched a series of documentaries on PETA’s website and that was it for me. I went back and forth between vegetarian and vegan for a few years, but made the commitment at the beginning of 2015 to be a fully-fledged vegan. I am passionate about health and wellness – preferring a holistic approach rather than preaching one dogma. My personal motto is “progress over perfection”, and I believe that little changes amount to an improved quality of life.

I am transparent online – so feel free to reach out and I will strive to answer any questions you may have.

Peace and love,

Bridget
